This pretty well nailed my experience getting mine. It DOES hurt, but its very quick. By the time your brain even processes it its already over. Peeing burns a bit around the piercing for the first few days. Staying well hydrated helps with healing and when your urine is a higher percentage water it helps with the burning. The long term benefits are well worth the very short term discomfort.

I had mine done in 1991 and it's stretched to a 0 gauge now, I am afraid to go any larger because my penis is so small ..
